Privacy policy

How TableWave handles personal data, on this website and in your restaurant.

Draft, under legal reviewThis document is a working draft and is not yet in force. Bracketed items are to be completed by counsel. Questions: [email protected].

1. Who is responsible

[Legal entity, address, contact for privacy requests]. For camera data inside a restaurant, the restaurant is the controller and TableWave acts as its processor.

2. Data from this website

When you request a pilot we collect your name, restaurant, city, number of tables, camera brand, point of sale, phone and email, and use them only to contact you about TableWave.

This site uses no advertising cookies. [Analytics provider, if any]. Form submissions are processed by [form provider].

3. Data in the restaurant

TableWave detects people as anonymous shapes to determine table states. It does not perform facial recognition, create face templates or identify individuals. Faces are blurred on screen: the blur is applied to every person the detector finds before an image is shown or saved. Video is analysed on a computer inside the restaurant and is not uploaded or stored by TableWave. Table events are kept for 30 days by default. Optional clips are off by default, can only be switched on by the restaurant owner, are face-blurred and are deleted automatically after 30 days. If the restaurant switches on remote access, live face-blurred views travel through an encrypted tunnel to the owner’s browser and are not stored.

4. Sharing

We never sell personal data. [Service providers, e.g. alert delivery, email, hosting].

5. Your rights

[Access, correction, deletion, objection; per jurisdiction: Mexico LFPDPPP ARCO rights, US state laws, UAE PDPL].

6. Security

See our privacy and security page for how the computer at the restaurant is protected.
